I am looking to find the family of Myfanwy Edwards, born in November 1913 at 80 Ilan Road, Abertridwr. Her father was Thomas Edwards and mother Mary Harriett Edwards, nee Morris. Thomas was a coal miner. Myfanwy had two sisters. One was blind. Thomas was a soldier in WWI discharged to pension before war ended suffering from shell shock. The family worshiped in a Chapel which anecdotal evidence suggests was "up the mountain". Can anyone help?

In the 1851 and 1861 census returns the family were at Brynceiliogau (Bryncyloca) near Banwen and David is described as Collier and Farmer. Anne Price mar. William Henry Wilde, my grandfather lived in mountain row, he was married to Margaret Jane, nee Williams. he was born 1907 and died 1951, she was born 1910 and died 1991. his father was william wilde b1875 d1957, married to barbara aubrey who was from cwmbach aberdare. Her parents were cath and jenkin aubrey, they all came to blaen to work the mines. I am particularly interested in Margaret williams my grandmother as I have no info at all on her. All I have been told is that her grandparents raised her after her mother died, they possibly run a shop in blaen. Any help greatly appreciated, thank you.

They had Thomas Jr who married Sarah Evans. Agnes who married Isaac Morgan and Rosalie who married William Hoppington. Thier off spring married into the Powell, Davies,Old, Gammon, Morgan and Hoppington families.Plus Idris married a Katie Anon and Algernon married a Sarah Anon. If any of the families would get in touch with me I would be delighted. I have many other names, but it's detail I am missing. Mary Vivian 2, from Glamorgan. 029aSusannah Tippet 60, not from Glamorgan, Independant means. Ann Williams 20, from Glamorgan, Servant. Hannah Sowart 15, from Glamorgan, Servant. Charles`s wife Mary and his daughter Mary both died of Cholera within two days of each other in 1849. Charles died in 1857 at Clydach. The three are buried in Llangyfelach Parish Church. my g.g.grandmother Caroline married William Davies in 1856 and died in Swansea in 1914. Harriet married William Pope and died in Swansea in 1893.

I am looking for any further information of the ancestors and descendants of my Great Great Grandfather WILLIAM PHILLIPS who originates from Pembrokeshire. William was born, I believe, in Haverfordwest on 21.06.1846 and I only know his father's name, which was David. He died 01.01.1915 at Station Road, Glais. He married twice. His first wife was Ruth (maiden name unknown). They had the following children: Thomas 1865, William 1868, Mary Jane 1870, Annie 1872-1935 (Married William Morgan) and Phoebe 1875. I know that Ruth died in 1879. William's second wife was Emma Jane Lloyd who he married at St Peters in Pontardawe on 29.01.1880. Emma was born 21.06.1860 and died 10.04.1939 at 85 High Street, Clydach, West Glamorgan. William & Emma had the following children: Eliza Jane 29.01.1881 in Ystalyfera. She married Walter Bendle at St Pauls Church, Glais on 23.02.1905. Eunice Matilda born 16.07.1884 in Glais, died 16.10.1955 in Solva, Pembrokeshire, South Wales. It is believed that she married a widowed doctor from Clydach. Sydney born 10.10.1886, died 26.02.1887. Maurice, my Great Grandfather. He was born 16.04.1888 in Glais and died 20.09.1957 at Ida Villa, Melincourt, Resolven, Neath. He married Annie Sophia Day on 26.02.1910 at Sion Chapel, Glais. Albert born 15.04.1891 in Glais. I am searching for descendants of my great uncle who was orphaned and separated from my grandmother aged 5 years. He was John Roe who was at an orphanage in Bristol from 1900 to 1908 when he was taken into work in Clydach by Mr Davies. Some contact was made by him with his sister, my grandmother in the 1930's. My grandmother was Lily Roe (later Glyde) who lived in Luton Beds where John was born. His father was a Straw Hat Manufacturer. John attended my grandfather's funeral in Luton in 1939. John had a son Kenneth. Kenneth and his daughter visited Luton some time later but after that contact was lost
