red mail BOWEN Family-The Mumbles
I'm trying to trace the family of my GG Grandmother born Elizabeth Bowen. Census records show she was born in The Mumbles but I can't find any trace of her on the Parish Records for that area. She married in Harwich Essex and into a sea faring family so, I'm assuming that she went to Harwich with her family as a child and that her father was a Mariner or, that he worked on the LightShips out of Harwich. As most of the Trinity House records were lost during the Blitz I have been unable to confirm this. Due to free time issues, I will not respond to tenuous links, information must relate to a definite link between BOWEN and The Mumbles. As I know that at least one Bowen is still living in the area i.e the wonderful artist BILBOW, I know that there must be others and that hopefully, one of them will have done a little background into their family history!!!
