I am looking for any information on a Eli Thomas Jones. He Married my nan, Doreen Morgan around 1937?? they had a little girl Mary Valerie Jones (my mother). He was a Coal Miner but went into the Royal Medical Core. Eli & my Nan soon divorced after the war. My nan and my mom moved with the Morgan family to Birmingham around 1942 and there was no hear or sight of him since then. I believe he met and married someone else and had a family but I am curious to see if still alive? My mom sadly passed away, my nan is still here and has just turned 95!

Daniel Leonard and his wife, Mary White, traveled from Ireland to Trehafod Village in Rhondda, Wales to coal mine from their former agriculural existence during late 1850's to early 1860's. Peter Leonard was born in either March of 1859 or July of 1867 in Ireland, Wales or NYC as he was moved to NYC by his maternal grandmother following the death of Mary White Leonard after the birth of female twins who also moved to US. Peter Leonard is in 1900 and 1910 US census in Newport, RI but came to US as an infant with no family histroy to pass on. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Looking for information on my grandfather John Griffiths born about 1929 in the Rhondda, He married Marlene Locke in April 1954 in the Bethel Eng. Bapt. Church in Tonypandy. On the wedding cert. his occupation was a railway porter.His father is Albert Griffiths working in a dinghy factory and they lived in Rees Street Trealaw. My grandparents George Collins b.1884 Aberystwyth and Agnes Cadogan b.1883 Morriston were married at Tonypandy in 1904. They had six children. John Cyril b.1907 Bargoed, Annie Cadogan b.1909 Bargoed, Harold b.1911 Gelli, Beryl Vivian b.1913 Gelli, Hilda May b.1916 Gelli and Hannah Mary b.1919 Gelli. They lived at 3, Ardwyn Terr. Gelli. My mother Hilda May Collins was living here when she married my father Roger Meredith Paul in 1939. My sister Gaynor Paul and myself were born here.

Abt.1838 Morfa Borth,Cardigan, at the Parish Church of Rhymney on Aug.11th 1856. They had eleven children. Elizabeth b.1856, & Mary Ann b.1858 both born at Tredegar. My grandfather John Paul came to the Rhondda Valley from Penzance in 1901. He brought his family with him, his first wife Athelia Marshall Bromley and their daughter Athelia Jane Marshall Paul. They were lodging with Josiah Pate and his family at Rees St., Gelli. His wife Athelia died and John took her back to Penzance for burial. He left his daughter there with relatives and came back to the Rhondda where he worked as a stonemason. He married Josiah Pate`s daughter Ann on 9th July 1906 at Hope Baptist Chapel, Gelli. His daughter Athelia came back from Penzance to live with them. John and Ann had thirteen children.
