Trying to trace Kate Stanton who left her husband in Bridgend and went to live with a man with the surname of Stephens/stevens in Kenfig around 1904 birth date 1867 -cannot find any death record for her. It is belived (family folklore) that she had several children with this man but never married him so their surname would be Stanton also. She is not on the Census for 1911 -but she may have dodged this for a reason. It seems she just disappeared can anyone help me with this?

red mail Arthur Roberts -Bootmaker
Looking for information about my gr. grandfather 'Arthur John Roberts' a bootmaker and dealer at 29 Pisgah Street from about 1915 - 1929. Arthur was a very religious man and a preacher. He was founder of the Wesleyan Mission in the area and founder of the Wesley Chapel (about 1922)in which there is a marble plaque in his honor (I have picture of it). His 2nd wife was Loiusa Paynter and I believe she was somehow related to one Arthur Merlin Grenville well known in the area. Any info would be much appreciated.

?? Powell married Ruby Fortescue J.A.S. 1923 registered at Bridgend. I think they must have lived in Kenfig hill or very near to. The parents of Ruby were Charles and Emily/Dorothy Fortescue Any infomation on the Powell family ????

My mother was born in Kenfig Hill in 1917. Her father John was a member of the local Salvation Army. In the mid 1940's mum married Arthur Hanchett, an Englishman. Mum and dad are now dead but I know that there are surviving family members in Kenfig Hill. I have three aunts called Una, Dyliss and Eira but cannot remember their surnames. Una has a daughter still in the area. I need to contact any of them ungently. Can anyone help?

Could some kind person please carry out a 1871 census look-up for Thomas Harding born 1852/53 in Bridgend, Parish of Tythegstone. His father was Morgan Harding born 1827 in St Brides Major. They were both colliers. Thomas married in 1873 and at the time was living at Cefn, which is where the Ton Phillip Colliery was (I think), trying to find the rest of the family, mother could be Ann Harding. Harding & Evans
I am desperatley trying to find info on the exact marriage of Thomas Harding and Hannah Evans. The only info I have found is from the IGI family group record which states marriage about 1873 of Kenfig Hill, Glamorgan. However I have been unable tofind any other records to substantiate this to enable me to order a marriage certificate. Can anybody please help?
