Does anyone have access to parish records I am looking for a father and daughter who died within a week or two of each other year of death was 1932 they re names were David Davies and his daughter,s name was elizabeth they were buried in st catwg church gelligaer.would be most grateful for any help have had difficulty getting hold of vicar to look at records,can anyone help please. kind regards ann
red mail William Davies (b.1814) in Gelligaer/Pengam
I'm interested in tracing William Davies who was born in 1814-16 in Pengam/Gelligaer area. His father was Lewis or may be Llewelyn. It is believe William was already in the Trevil/Tredegar area by 1840's and I found him in the 1850 census onwards. He married Ann Harris in 1846 in Bedwellty and they lived at Station Road (Brickyard Row/Bell View Cottages) in Ashvale. Thanks Huw
red mail Looking for information on Florence Williams Gelli-gaer,
I am trying to find info about Florence Williams. On the 1901 cencus she is residing in Gelligaer with the Thomas family, date of birth approx 1879 in Dorstone, Hereford. Dorstone may be incorrect, because I haven't been able to find her birth registered in Dorstone. Quite a few Florence Williams born around this time so not sure which Williams family Florence belongs to, can you help?

Interested in contacting descendants of Ann Jenkins, who died and was buried at Gelligaer in January 1935. Available info suggests she had several sons and several daughters. She had lived in Aberdare and was probably born at Pembrokeshire.

I am researching the Bishop branch of my family who were living in Gelligaer at least between 1871 and 1881. The father of the family was John Bishop born 1835 in Somerset, his wife was Elizabeth/Eliza born 1839 in Breconshire. they had 6 daughters, Caroline 1858, Mary Ann 1861, Hanna(h)1863, Elizabeth 1867, Martha 1872 and Charlotte 1876. They alos had one sone Thomas 1869, he went on to Marry Eliza Thick in Pontypridd.

Hi list - I am trying to find my great grandfather x 3 Richard Jenkins c 1776. He was in Bedwelty, Tredegar Monmouthshire by 1800 when he married Ann Moss c 1780. He died in Tredegar in 1843. From the 1841 census he was NOT BORN in Monmouthshire. Diana

Looking for information on Robert Brice born in Kingstone, Somerset 1829, s/o James BRICE & Hannah MACEY. A coalminer he moved to Glamorgan by the early 1850's, where he married Martha DANDO, daughter of John Nicholas DANDO. The family lived in Gelligaer & by 1876 had 8 children. In 1871 a John OLD, also from Kingstone was living with the family. Not known if there is any relationship

Looking for links to (TWO)THOMAS DAVIES born c1800. One had Son WILLIAM DAVIES born c1820 and the other Thomas Davies had a daughter JANE DAVIES born c1821. William and Jane married in Merthyr T in 1842. The marriage certificate shows they came from GELLIGAER Parish.
