I am researching the Forrester family from and around Cupar. Thomas Forrester 1824-1893 was born in Cupar and his wife Christina Grieve was from St Andrews. I have the got the names of his father and grandfather from death certificates (David Forrester 1799-1868 and William Forrester 1781-1871)who both died in Cupar and so I suspect were also born there. If anyone can tie these in with their Forrester relations, I would very much like to hear from you. Many thanks.

Isabella and William had a daughter called Annie, born in 1831, who married George Doig. Together they had a daughter Isabella in 1852. Any info would be appreciated.

Seeking the blood line of a Margaret Allison Thompson b1922. Margaret was adopted by a John Allison (c1885-?) and Margaret (Philip) Allison (c1885-1969). Mother of Margaret is known as Hannah Green Thompson from birth certificate, but no father. John Allison could have been the father, but this is just speculation. Hannah is noted as a domestic servant of no fixed abode on Margaret's birth certificate. Areas of interest around Cupar, Dairsie, Vantage, Wilkieston.

Alexander's headstone states that he was a Native of Cupar Fifeshire. He was born c1812, was a Slater and married Elizabeth HAIN/HANE in Glasgow in 1835 before emigrating to Australia. I can find no record of him in Cupar so any information on Alexander's origins would be appreciated.

Ann married Charles Nicol(l) from Dundee in December 1839. She bore him a daughter, Margaret Drysdale Nicol(l) in 1840 and they left on board the FIFSHIRE for New Zealand in September 1841. They had the following children born in Cupar Jane 29/8/1789, Agnes 1/4/1791, Robert 21/7/1793,Elizabeth 16/12/1794 and William 28/8/1796. Robert married Jessie Isabella Alexander 23/4/1819 and had the following Robert 1820, John 1821,Stewart Alexander 1823, John Alexander 1825, Elizabeth 1827,William 1830 and George Brunston 1836. Robert, George and Elizabeth were all jewellers, as was their father Robert, who had his buisness at Crossgates Cupar (1820). Robert migrated here to Australia. George married Margaret Morriss and had 2 sons ( that I know of) Elizabeth remained unmarried. Are there any descendants of this family still around?
