What happened to Wm. Watson, born Kings Lynn 1852, m. Katherine Brooks,(born 1860) last recorded in 1891 census living in Chestnut Ave. West Ham? In 1901 Katherine and 3 of their children were living in Grange Road, Ilford. William is apparently still alive, but can find no further trace of him. May have been some scandal around him; double life? desertion? Katherine's father was a master baker in Lynn. Any information very welcome to help solve this family mystery.

Looking for information on Jonas Searles who was born in West Ham in 1864, son of Samuel and Mary-Ann(unknown)Searles.In 1883 Jonas married Rosette Rance in West Ham.In 1891 Jonah (27) and Rosetta (27)were living in 44 Montesque St,West Ham with their children Rosetta(7) Mary-Ann(5) Jonah(3) and Louisa(1). They later had another son Alfred born in 1895. It is possible that there may have been other children. In 1898 Rosetta died age 33 and Jonas died a year later age 35. In 1901 Rosetta was working as a servant in Bromley. Mary-Ann was living in Young St West Ham, with relatives, Sarah and Frederick Stanford. Louisa may have died earlier, and it is unknown where Jonah, Alfred and any of the other children were living.

I am looking for information on the Reed family that lived in Southminster in 1871 they had moved to WestHam by 1881. They were Father Henry, Mother Mary Ann nee simpson children Arthur, Elizabth,James, Lucas(Louis) Emma. Louis married Elizabth Smith in 1904 in WestHam they had a child Arthur in 1908 (my grandfather) I think there were more children but have come to a dead end. Any further information would be gratefully recieved.

I am trying to find the Sisters of Martha Harris born 1902 in West Ham married William Victor Bollands in 1927. Marthas sister Beatrice married a Turner they had a daughter Iris B who married Denis Poole. The other sisters were Helen, Maude, Millicent, Edna. I am sure there are Poole family members but I have no information on their whereabouts.

They had at least five children, two of which had the name Hepburn as a middle name. my Granfather Walter John Foster was born in West Ham in 1903 to George and Ellen Foster, I'm trying to find out more about the family especially my Gt Uncle (Walter's older brother) William Foster I believe in was in the Royal Artillery in Italy in the first world war and thats about all I know apart from that he may of emigrated after the war. Looking for more information on Emma VALLIS (b.1871 in Poplar) who, in 1899, married Albert John DYMOND. In the 1891 census, Albert lived with Emma's family as a visitor; their residence was 91 Burt Broulton at the Works. Albert's occupation was Scientific Instrument maker. In the 1901 census, Emma and John, now married, lived at 3 Boxley Road. They shared their home with their young daughter, Dorothy (b.1900 in Essex, Silvertown)and Albert's sister, Ellen, age 35 in 1901. Both Albert and Ellen were born in Devon Moreton Hampstead. Would love to learn more about Emma & Albert's family. Emma is my g-grandfather's niece and the daughter of Abraham Vallis & Jane Perkins Vallis.

His sons Herbert, Ernest and Leonard also became builders, although Leonard listed as a carpenter in 1881 census. Leonard born 1861. Sisters were Alice, Ellen, Florence, Gertrude, Kate and Constance. Florence married a Robert Redwood. Leonard married Annie M. Blew in 1893. Children were William Frith Horner and Isaline Blew Horner. At some point the Leonard Horner family lived in a home called 'Fern Hill.'
