red mail Searching for John Walker
I am searching for a John Walker, b. 1891, death date unknown. He was the second husband to my great-grandmother, Theresa Agnes Semken, b. 1891, d. 1966. Theresa's first husband, Frederick George Bull, b. 1890, d. 1923, died of drowning off King George V dock, under what seems to be mysterious circumstances. I am curious as the circumstances of John and Theresa's marriage, which happened in 1924, in West Ham, Essex, the same area where Frederick died. Theresa and Frederick had four kids, who were told when growing up that their dad shot himself, whereas his death certificate states he drowned. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

red mail Ann Howell Laskey
Ann was born in india in 1849. She wed Edwin Laskey in 1887. As I understand it she was married 3 times Edwin being the last. From the marriage information I have at the time of the marriage her surname was Howell but whether that was the name of her last husband or her maiden name I do not know. She had 2 children prior to this marriage Ethel in 1882 and Maud in 1884. She appears with Edwin and her then 4 children in the census of 1891. I know the British Museum have Indian records but does anyone know about female surnames stated on 2nd and 3rd marriage certificates or the best way to track her
Does anyone have any information of the Laskey family of Major Road in 1901 and Tenby Road 1891. I believe Edwin was in the army prior to these dates in India but I don't know which regiment. As it appears that Edwin and Annie could have been married in India and Ethel and Maud were born in India I haven't been able to trace any certificates. Can anyone help please.

red mail Looking for Gardiner, Blackwell, Hackett
Hi Im searching for anyone with info or related to the Gardiner/Gardner/Gardener family who resided & still do in Kings Road. Anything on William Blackwell who married Caroline Clark, they then had Alice, James, Florence, Maud, May, Esther & Albert. Florence is my great grandmother. She married William Hackett in 1905 & had a daughter called Alice Maud. Florence then remarried in 1911 to John Gardiner (or any similar spellings) & they had Elsie, John, William, Gladys, Alfred & Rose. It is the Blackwells Im struggling with, Caroline Clarks family I have, but William is a mystery, on Florences' marriage certs she has him as William on one & James on another so maybe thats a 2nd name or maybe even his official first name. All I know is according to the census records he's born around 1862 ish in Sydenham Kent & died before 1905 but was alive on the 1901 census. As for John Gardiner - I know nothing about him other than he should have been born around 1880 & possibly died before the 2nd world war!

red mail Charles Thomas/Annie Davis
I have been trying unsuccessfully to trace my grandfather - Charles THOMAS, born about 1866 and a Merchant Seaman. He married Annie Elizabeth DAVIS in 1900 at St. Luke's Church in Victoria Docks. They were living in Chauntler Road, West Ham at the time of the 1901 census (which records Charles' birth place as Plymouth), but in 1903 (when their son was born) they were lodging with the COBB family in Chandler Avenue, West Ham. In 1910, Annie was found drowned in Victoria Dock, with her month old baby, and her 4-year old son was then raised by the Guardians of the Poor of West Ham. At the Inquest it was recorded that a Henry COBB regularly visited Annie and gave her money! Charles THOMAS is known to have been in Australia/New Zealand at some time between 1904 and 1908, But I can find no trace of him before his marriage in 1900 nor after his wife's death in 1908. If anybody can offer any help or advice, I shall be eternally grateful.
red mail Parker Family
I am trying to traced my great grandparents Thomas A and Mary A Parker, there children were Lucy, Ellen, George (my grandfather) Maud and Arthur. According to the census in 1891 they were living at 58 Carpenters Road Stratford and in 1901 the had moved to 64 Mark Road West Ham. There is a chance that they lived in Plaistow at some time as it appears the children were all born there. Thomas was born in Rushden, Northants in about 1834 and Mary was born in about 1840 in Long Sutton, Lincs. As my grandfather died in an industrial accident in a laundry in 1922, (my father was only two at the time), I have no information on the family after this, except that my grandfather's sister Lucy married (name Street), and when grandfather she registered his death and was at that time living in Lee, Kent. If any of this rings a bell with someone I would be very glad to hear from them.
