Mathew And Eleanor Bonner West Mersea
Mathew Bonner was a farmer who married Eleanor Downes at Tolleshunt Major in 1811.The couple lived in West Mersea where Mathew, farmed millfieds, saltings and other lands. He was deceased by 1871, but Eleanor moved to East Mersea,Stroods Farm. The Neville family seem to have been related to the bonners and the Downes family of Abberton and West Mersea. Sadly I cannot find the offspring of Mathew and Eleanor. If any one has any links to these families please contact me.
red mail Appleton / Penny Brook
I am looking for information on the Appleton family of Tolleshunt Major, particularly Edward Appleton b. 1796 and his wife Hannah b. Great Totham 1791. I know of all their descendants and I am now trying to go further back than 1841. In the 1841 census, they are listed as living at "Penny Brook" Tolleshunt Major. Does anyone have any information on this address?
