Date is uncertain around 1920 onwards. I believe he was The Chairman of the Council (1937)and a Mason.

My Great Grandfather Francis Atkinson was born in Tilbury in 1832. His father was Thomas Atkinson. Francis was married twice, firstly to Margaret Sarah Close in 1854, then he married Mary Ann Nunney in 1877. By this time he had moved to Southwark. As a young man Francis was living in Belgium.
