I am researching my family name of Pegrum. We originate from the Nazeing area. Any information would be much appreciated. My grandfather Horace Pegrum was born in Theydon Garnon in 1895, his father Alfred (married to Annie Hampton and prior to her Ellen Mumford) was also born there in 1847. His father Abraham (married to Martha Nicholls and prev Sarah Nicholls) was born in Nazeing in 1771. His father also Abraham was also born in Nazeing in 1744. His father was William. Thanks. Melanie

My grandfather Fred Jacobs had several houses restored, including Ninnings, Greenleaves, Little End (my birthplace), Old Sun Cottage, Kingswood. My father Leslie Tubby was a keen sailor at Broxbourne Sailing Club, and was in the ARP.
red mail FIELD BARKER STARLING
My wife has links to all these families who lived around the Nazeing, Roydon Hamlet, Roydon areas of Essex until at least the 1920s. There is a WW1 memorial which mentions James E Field (her gt gt uncle) and a JV STARLING in All Saints Nazeing. It is thought the families may have intermarried at various times, the last being her aunt, Ruby Barker (mother's name FIELD) who married Eric Starling in the 1950s. Any links welcomed!
