Thomas BURTON was a cooper (barrel maker) from Ongar, Essex born about 1699. I am trying to determine his parents, exact birth or baptism date and siblings. I am also looking for any mention of BURTONs in Ongar in the late 1600s, early 1700s. On 6Nov 1723, at St Benet Paul's Wharf church in London, at age 24, Thomas BURTON married Alice INGULL, age 23, who came from Hornchurch, Essex. It seems that Thomas and Alice settled in Hornchurch where they had a family of eleven children, five of whom lived past childhood. They were William Ingol, John, Daniel, Hannah and Samuel.
