My Grandmother, Mae Thompson Brown left Scotland in 1928 and came to Western Canada. Unfortunately, she passed away in 1962 and all contact with her family was lost. I know that she was born in Paisley, Glagow in 1907. However, her family may have re-located to the Dunbar area sometime in the 1940's. I have several pictures of the family taken in the 1940's and I know family members died in the late 40's near or in Dunbar. I do know that her father was George Brown. He was a Soldier during the Boer War. There were 5 children; David, George, James, Jean, and Thomas. Unfortunately, no one re-calls my Great Grandmother's name, except her maiden name was Thompson. George Brown and his wife died 3 weeks apart around 1947 - 1950 and their daughter Jean died 3 week after them. Any help with information is greatly appreciated. Am interested in finding out if there are any war monuments in or around Dunbar area.
