Does anyone have the name Merchant/Marchant in their family ?? Have found several people with this as a middle name listed on ancestry sites so I am hoping that there may be a connection for my family in Wales. I cannot find where my 5x grandfather was born. Please help.
Thomas Jones from Cardigan
Im trying to find Thomas Jones born about 1816, Cardigan wales. He married Catherine Phoebe George n the 10 Aug 1835 at Holy Trinity Sloane Street Upper Chelsea Middlesex. They had the following children all born in Middlesex and Surrey area. Margaret Phoebe Jones b 1836. She married William Bax. Mary Jones b 1840, Thomas Jones b 1841, Daniel Jones b 1843 and Anne Jones b 1846. In 1841 & 1851 they lived at Thomas Place, Lambeth, Surrey. Thomas Jones, the father was a Piano Forte/Cabinet Maker. Any help finding his parents please.
