Are there any descendants of Lilian out there please. William was my g.g.uncle. Am looking for info about the Horsley family who lived in Dunston/Whickham during the 19th/early 20th centuries. In the 1891 census I have William (b1857 in Northumberland) and Mary(born 1863 in Lamesley, Durham) Horsley living in Annie Terrace with their son William Irving Horsley(born 1880). The younger William married in 1902 and then again in 1919 to Sarah Nichols - they were living at 13 Collingwood Terrace at the time of the birth of their son Walter in 1920. This is all the info I have so far so any further knowledge a bonus! Thanks, Ruth

Charles Stephenson, (born Ryton to William & Mary Stephenson), married Isabella Stewart (parents Matthew Stewart and Thomasine Parker) in Whickham 1798. Charles was a gardner, at one stage working for the Earl of Strathmore at Gibside and later employed his own labourers including Edward Robson whose son, Robert Robson, married Charles and Isabella's youngest daughter Hannah. So Hannah Stephenson married Robert Robson at Low Fell Church 9-3-1837. They started a furniture business in Northumberland Street, Newcastle. We cannot find details of her birth, does anyone have any information? Liz

Please can you help? Looking for any info on John T field, died 1938 in whickham. Had 5 children that i know of. Married to Mary Ann Burton in 1900. The children were George b1914, Minnie b1912, Annie b1911, John b1906 and Sarah b1904 & she married a Fred Jackson in 1930.
