Cruddass/Cruddace/Penshaw & surrounding
I am thinking of starting a One Name Study of the name Cruddas (or variants). I know that my grandfather George Cruddas was born in Penshaw in 1902, he had six brothers and no sisters as far as I am aware. He married Ellen (Nellie) Collinson from Hebburn. I know there are a few Cruddas members in the Newcastle area and in Yorkshire. If anyone can give me any information at all on this family I would be very greatful. Thank you.

Seeking information about the following families who lived at 27 Garden Place, Penshaw: Isaac and Jane Balls, John and Florence Lilian (Balls) Fitzpatrick and George and Isabel (Balls) Wilson. Also son of George and Isabell, Albert Herbert Wilson born 1917. George was a munitions worker at that time. Also suggestions on how I can find out who currently lives at 27 Garden Place, Penshaw.
I'm trying to trace the history of both these parties, who married at Penshaw in 1876. I think, but would like confirmation, that George Wardropper's father Peter originated in Sunderland, and was a joiner. I know very litle about Mary Jane (nee Oates), whose father William was also a joiner, but seemed to originate from Penshaw. Thanks for any information! Frank
