red mail Dixon/Pearson/Rutter
My great grandfather was Robert Miller Pearson who married Elizabeth Rutter on April 1866. Until we found his marriage records recently we had always thought his wife was a Dorothy Elizabeth but no-one knew her surname. Now we've got the Elizabeth Rutter connection which is substantiated with a copy marriage licence, but I have found a tree owner who is showing a Dorothy Elizabeth (Eddy or Cowie) married to a Robert Marshall Pearson. We know that our relative was Robert Miller (not Marshall) but the strange thing is that she has the exact same list of children as I have, including ages and names. Can anyone help? My grandmother was Kate Pearson, born in St. Johns Green, Houghton le Spring in 1880 - she married Andrew Dixon of Witton Gilbert. I can only trace her until the age of 19 when she was shown as living at home in Witton Gilbert in 1871.

And another son Charles Edward born 6/12/1847, he did not migrate with family so I assume he died as a child. Then they migrated to Australia in 1848.
