red mail michael cain
My grandmother Margaret Cain married Michael Sullivan 16 Sep. 1899 at the church of "Our Lady Immaculate and Saint Cuthbert" at Crook County Durham and gave her address as The Square, Howden le Wear, and her father was Michael Cain. In the 1901 census a Michael Cain was at the same address with daughters Ellen and Julie, son John A and grandaughter Mary Cain. I am having great difficulty in finding the name of Michael's wife and the birthdate of my grandmother Margaret. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

red mail Howden-le-wear
A few years ago I attended an exhibition at Howden-le-Wear Village Hall, it was about village life over the years. The exhibition was organised by a local history group. I would like to know if this group is still in existence as I would be interested in joining. I had family lived in the area by the name of Raw who came up from the Dales in the 1880's. The name was later changed to Rawe, as Family History is my hobby, I would be grateful for any info.
