anyone who has any info. regarding the Lockhart family from Cashogle,Kirkbride,Gateslack and Durisdeer? They would appear to have been shepherds and farm labourers. William Lockhart born Cashogle in about 1840 moved south to Cambridge. He is my great grandfather. His sister married into the Heuchan family and moved south to Kendal.
