KENNEDY, Nicholas
Found attestation papers for him in 1813 in London, Kent. He married there and raised his family. 1841 has him as a military pensioner. He died in Manchester in 1859. He was born in Chapelizod. Married Mary Cudlow and had 6 children on the census. Son Nicholas was my ancestor. Anyone with this person in their tree, please respond to this posting. Thanks.
red mail Dublin Ironfoundres
My ggg grandfather Robert Broadbent (c.1785-1858) lived in Chapelizod with his wife Alice (c.1795-1850). It was in this village that their children Ellen and Robert were baptised and where they (R & A) were buried. Robert was an Ironfounder. There was a William Broadbent (also an Ironfounder) who lived in Dublin at the time and he/they may have been associated with the ironfoundry in Bridgefoot Street. I am seeking information on the connection between these two men and their origin/s. A Robert Broadbent and a William Broadbent were each associated with the village of Irishtown, Co Dublin in the second decade of the 19th Century.

What happened to Aunt Mary?
My cousin and I were told very little family history and it appears that when our grandmother died in 1916, just a few weeks before the Easter Rising, the family split and some aunts and uncles moved to England. We believe our aunt Mary Nolan (maiden name O'Sullivan)became a widow at an early age and possibly remarried. We never met our aunt, but wonder if any of her children would be willing to tell us what they know of the family.
