red mail Press family Downpatrick and area
My ancestor by name of Press believed to have come to Downpatrick from Norfolk 1603 settling at a place called Islandhill. Excerpt from letter I have: "Daddy went to Downpatrick about 1866 to see an old man called Mickey Press who was then 93, he was some far out relation". I believe Presses in Downpatrick area today still may be distant relatives.
