red mail Janes or Jeanes in Stalbridge
Hannah Janes was born c1811 in Stalbridge and became a lady's maid to a Mrs Julia Bateman. At some stage the Bateman family moved to Halton Hall, Lancs and took Hannah with them. While there she married George Pearson a farmer. Hannah died aged 74 on 7 August 1885 in Northowram West Yorkshire. I have been unable to find out anything about Hannah's parents or her forebears and wonder if anyone has been investigating Janes or Jeanes genealogy in Dorset. Her father was Lear Jeanes (farmer b 1755) as stated on Hannah's marriage certificate. I have traced Lear Jeanes to Stalbridge but Hannah (b 1811) does not figure among his many children whose baptisms appear in the Stalbridge registers. I wonder if Hannah was the illegitimate child of one of Lear's daughters, there are 2 or 3 likely candidates.

I am looking for details of Susannah SENIOR of Stalbridge. I have two records of baptism - 10 June 1783 and 15 April 1792 for her both showing the same parents (Robert SENIOR and Susannah SYMMS).
