CHILDS and HILL families
I have considerable info on the CHILDS of MO including the 1801 census, my 2xgt grandmother was susan Childs her parents ran the Carpentry Shop in MO. Susan's brother William married Charlotte RAWLISON OR RAWLINSON, Charlottes sister Ann married Henry HILL,one of their children, Stephen Rawlinson H married Emma Mullins. I have a fair bit on the HILL family, but cannot find the parents of Maria HILL the 2nd wife of my 2xgt grandfather Henry Russell GERRARD. Maria was born circa 1812, as notes from the family bible say she died age 82 in 1894.There is a Maria RAWLINSON who married Richard HILL in 1835, Richard and Maria's marriage was witnessed by Henry HILL and Caroline RAWLISON. I have not found a death for Richard HILL or any children yet, so am wondering if my Maria HILL may be Richard's widow. Any info much appreciated and am glad to give further info on these families.
Mary Seymour (b.1752 Melbury Osmond) was the daughter of William and Hester and married John Tucker on 21 May 1782 in Closworth. They had four children: Elizabeth (b.1783), Ann (b.1785), Hester (b.1787) and James (b.1789). If anyone can add to the story, I would be delighted to hear from them. Terry
