Charles Botting (born in Sussex) married to Mary Merrin (born in Spondon Derbyshire) seems to be a relative of mine. They had a daughter who subsequently gave birth to Evelyn Mary Botting. Evelyn married my father's grandfather. They lived in Spondon then moved to Yorkshire. There also appear to be some Botting relationships that went as far as London. I am looking for some help with a family tree. I have Ayres and Turner.It seems at one point roughly before 1870 ish they were know by the surname Ayres(ares,eyres etc) and at about this point they changed it to Turner for some reason.My Gt.Gt. grandfather also changed his first name from Nehemiah to John. Nehemiah Ayres b.1826 brown candover,hants, married(?) Susan Whitlock b. <1826>-1912. From what i have found(with help) is 9 children,although i suspect there are a few more.They have links with Wilts, Hants and Blandford is were they died. We believe its something to do with family being in the area but i cannot seem to move forward on this and would welcome any help,even if its to say that what i have is wrong. Thank you Tina

Can anyone Please! Help me...I am trying to find some information on my 3x Great Grandfather, JOHN WHITE who was born in 1806 and at a very young age went to Newfoundland's Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland ( Possibly with the Fishery out of Poole ) ; He married a Deborah Parsons in Greenspond, Bonavista Bay on 3 Feb 1824. I am trying to locate a birth record for him so I can determine who his parents were. . Some of John's children were, George, James, Jane,& Edward. Jays of Blandford
I have the details of James Jay (married Hannah Arnold Gillard in 1840) - born/baptised 1816/17 with parents John and Mary Jay. That is where I am stuck. On James and Hannah's marriage cert. John is shown as a farrier. The only John and Mary Jay I can find in the census lists John as a veterinary surgeon which does not seem right. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

The 1881 Census has them living at Colbury Hampshire - Stephen Drake, Head, 42 Farmer Carter born Hilton Dorset, Mary A Drake wife, 36, Charwoman, born Plymouth Devon, Annie J Drake dau 14 Scholar born Woolland Dorset, Fanny Drake dau 11 born Tarrant Crawford, Charles R Drake son 9 born Tarrant Crawford, Henry J Drake son 7 born Tarrant Crawford and Albert J Drake son 2 born Eling Hampshire. Address Foxhills Cottage. I am lead to believe that Stephen & Mary Ann Drake may have went to live in Sommerset later on. I would love to hear from any one who may be able to help
