Looking for information about an Eliza BURNS b. c1830. She was a potato famine orphan sent out to Australia on the Earl Grey scheme. Her ship arrived in Australia in March 1850, and the only information on the ship list is that she was 19, R.C. and from Donegal. Eliza is my GG Grandmother. Grateful for any info. Thanks.
looking for information on family of Michael MCDERMOTT b.1894 in Drumleen, Donegal married to Elizabeth PORTER b.1892 Lifford, Donegal. They had at least 3 sons - Michael b.1918, Richard b.1921 & Jackie b.? Jackie married & lived in Scotland possibly Edinburgh & may have had 2 sons which I think I may have a photo of. Looking for details for Rebecca McCulloch born about 1837. Born Bellarkannon, Donegal according to her gravestone. Parents William McCulloch (dec'd by 1857) and Elizabeth Docharty. Rebecca married Joseph Cooley in Old Monkton, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1857; arrived Australia 1860; married Henry Thomas Cook(e) in 1885; and died 1914. Does anyone have suggestions for Bellarkannon, as it doesn't exist under that spelling (not surprising)? Any help welcome.

I am looking for information concerning a William GALLAGHER (Gallacher) who married a Jane CUNNINGHAM sometime in the 1830's in Ireland (possibly Donegal). They had a son, John, around 1837. John moved to Scotland and married Mary Anne SUTHERLAND in 1868 (believed in Paisley). They had several children and John died in 1889, aged 54 years. His wife died 12 years later, in 1901.

Donegal. 1857 Griffiths has Samuel Doak Ballymaghy South,there was also the death of a Samuel Doak in 1866 Their son Samuel born abt 1850 married Rose Kelly (who may have been from the same area) in Port Glasgow Scotland in 1872 via Church of Scotland. I am searching for details of John Begley, b.1856, not sure whether in Ireland or St Helens, Lancashire. Also his father, Thomas Begley, born around 1835 in Ireland. I think Thomas was married to Ann but do not know her maiden name. I know John Begley lived in St Helens from at least 1874, as that is where he got married to Elizabeth Hunt. All their 10 children were born in St Helens. Sorry to be so vague but am finding it very difficult to find information from Ireland.

Married Margaret TOBIN of Kerry and lived in Barracks, in Brighton, England pre 1900. He was my great grandfather.
