looking for any info on this lots of births and burials but not much in the way of marriages.looking in particular for marriage of George Gollop and Christian round about 1728-1731.There is also a connection with the Toller family because a Peter Toller left the Gollops 25 acres of land and a property.

Im trying to find out any details about any Karslakes in Yarcombe. Ive found Martin Karslake b.1801, and his son Joseph b.1821 on the 1841 and 1851 census. I belive that they both worked as farm labourers posibly at Peterheys farm? Im interested in finding out where Martin came from, are they buried local, or anything ! Many thanks.

In the 1881 census Samuel James Hoare b abt.1832 Yarcombe was living with his wife Ann(churchill)and their children Marwood,Emily,Mary,David,HenryJ and Lionel at Warren house,Staple Fitzpaine and was a farmer of 52 acres. He married ann Churchill in the june 1/4 of 1854 in the district of Chard. Ann churchill was born abt.1835 in Buckland St Mary.

I have a JOHN TROTT who was born in c1605 in Yarcombe, married a SHUSANNAH DIRKE. Descendents seem to have moved to Uffculme, eventually a JOHN TROTT born 1799 Uffculme settled in Broadhembury where he was a tailor. He had several children, one ofwhom, JOHN ROLAND, was my husband's great grandfather.
