red mail Squire / Sussex family of St Giles in the Wood.
I am hoping for confirmation of some recently found facts about THOMAS SQUIRE born 1875 (St Giles). Thought to be son of Fanny Sussex ( 1833) and grandson of Richard and Catherine Sussex (all of St Giles). Fanny Sussex (described as 'Imbecile from birth' and'feeble minded') was the sister of Jane Sussex, later to marry Thomas Squire (my Great Grandfather). Does anyone have any knowledge of this family and what happened to Thomas between 1881 and 1911? I have a few possibilities but would love some confirmation. THOMAS was always thought to have been the brother of my grandmother Sarah Squire (daughter of Jane Sussex) but have never tracked him down as such. Could he have been her cousin ? Thank you for reading this. jane
red mail Squire
I am looking for any info. on the parents and siblings of Sarah Squire born St Giles/Torrington 1870. Thought to have had a brother Thomas, but research hasn't found him yet. Sarah's mother thought to have died when Sarah was a young girl, as she was sent to South Devon to be brought up by assumed relatives by the name of Harris. I have possible parents Thomas Squire and Ann Sussex, but have no confirmation of this.
