I'm researching my wife's family - her birth name was Gillard. So far I've been able to track the family back to George Gillard (1757-1837), who married Ann Lang (1765-1803) in South Tawton (I believe on 16 September 1782). If anyone can give me any further details about these two, or further information that will let me take the search further back, I'd be very grateful. Mike

I'm searching for anyone named WANNELL. (Or Whannell, Wonel, Wanel.) In particular a Robert Wannell who married Alice Harvye in S. Tawton in 1681. I can't find his birth anywhere. Also trying to find the parents of a Faithful Wannell,(male) born in South Zeal in 1830, who married Harriet Pardon in Plymouth in 1852, again I can't find Faithful's birth registered anywhere. I believe they had two sons, William (1854) and George (1857) and emigrated to Australia in 1857 on the Plantaganet.
