He married Jane GOSLING (also known as Jenny Bartlett Gosling) at Salcombe Regis, Devon in 1815, and had children WILLIAM (1816), MARY (1820),Eliza (1822), ROBERT (1823), ELIZA (1826),JOHN (1828), JAMES (1831) and HENRY 1837. All the children were baptised at Salcombe Regis and the family are on 1841 and 1851 census living at Trow in Salcombe Regis
