Parents either John & Joan (Ellis(e)) Groves (if 1796 birth) or George & Mary (Berry) Groves (1795), all of Lynton. John was in the Navy and/or a Coastguard for most of his working life, married Celia Woods and had at least 5 daughters and 1 son, and my husband was descended from the latter, George, born 1847 in Sussex.
