red mail SLACK, Sarah
Sarah SLACK (1793 - 1846) was my gg Grandmother and married Godfrey DAWSON in 1815. Both lived all their lives in Tideswell, as far as I can tell. I am interested to know how Sarah was related to Samuel (Sammy) SLACK, the great bass singer who was encouraged by Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire and is said to have sung for the King at Windsor.
Ralph Swindell (1830 - 1904 )
My gg grandfather Ralph Swindell (1830 1904) married Ellen Leech ( 1832 1900 ) in Tideswell in 1859. They had 8 children. They were both from Tideswell families. Ralph had 10 siblings. Some of the family remained in the Tideswell/Litton area, others moved to Hayfield/Glossop. I would love to hear from and share information anyone with a connection to this family. Karen
