Does anyone have any info on William Siddall b, c1760 in Whittington? He married Mary Turton in Staveley in 1789, but I have been unable to trace his parents. Thanks
red mail Grocers Shop, 19 William Street, Whittington
Does any one have any information on the grocers shop at 19 William Street, Whittington, Old Wittington and the MITCHELL family who ran/owned the shop. The 1901 census shows the shopkeeper as Emma Mitchell (nee COWARD), a widow aged 24 born in Rotherham in 1877. Her late spouse was William Mitchell. One of her children was Ambrose Mitchell, 5 months old at the 1901 census, born in Shepbridge, Derbyshire. I believe that he may have been my father, if so he married Elizabeth Ellen Bown at the Registry Office Chesterfield on 13 Dec 1919. Any information about the family and the grocers shop would be very much appreciated.
I have lots of Lefley links in this area, and am interested in all of them! Please get in touch.

red mail Beswick's of Whittington
In my tree I have Rebecca Beswick born 1864 in Whittington, Derbys. I cannot see her on the census, but in 1884 she married George Johnson (son of John and Ann both born 1839 in Heage)and had 10 children that I know of. George was born in Heage, but in Whittington with his parents in 1871 and 1881. I'd be interested in anyone with George or Rebecca in their ancestry.
red mail David R Lewis
Does anyone have any info. about David R Lewis, born Cwmbran 1871. He is my g grandmother's brother. David moved to Prospect Road, Old Whittington in the 1880's along with his mother, stepfather and various siblings. I have been able to trace all the siblings up to 1901 census but David is proving elusive. Have checked bmd's but can't find any marriage/death records for him. The only record that I can find for him, after leaving Wales is 1891 census when he was still living with his family. Maybe he emigrated? If so, where did he go?
red mail Siddall/Syddall
I have genealogy for this family from about 1680 to mid 1850's. It doesn't shed any light on the James who married into the Hadfield clan however, but does show the first one to move to Mosborough and those who went to Norton and (some) from Dronfield.

Does anyone have any information on the Websters living in and around this area during the 1700's and 1800's. Some of them then moved to Brotherton in Yorkshire.
