I am looking for information about Fanny Burrows(b1861) and her father Joseph Burrows(born 1830s) We believe the family were from around Ilkeston as my great-grandmother, May Freeman(b1891) worked at the Ilkeston hospital around 1910. She also spent around seven years in an orphanage from about 1897- this could have been near Ilkeston. The surname Taylor also appears on the 1891 census data for the house where May Freeman was born.

Looking for confirmation on history of William Beardsley. I show him eing born in Derbyshire on the 9th of March 1603, He married Mary Harvie at Ilkeston Derbyshire on the 26th of Janu 1631. They had a son named Joseph, born on the 16th of Nov 1634, Christened at St. Mary's. This family came to America during the Great Migration. I show the next gereation being born in Connecticut in 1681. Any Help with this family would be welcomed.

My family reseach has lead me round in circles with the Straws of Ilkeston. My grandfather was Samuel Straw who emigrated to South Africa and was married twice and had two families out there.
