Im looking for a Thomas(abt 1839) and Harriet Denton, with son William Gilford Denton (1864). Believe Harriet have second child to Rodertson, Ada (1878). Because Thomas had gone to Australia and was thought dead, Harriet remarried. Thomas re surfaced and marriage was anulled. Harriet and Ada went to Australia in 1882 on the ship Ashmore.
Hello Is anyone researching JAMES & ANN WOODHEAD James is a Machinist, aged 55 years and living in Charlestown, Whitfield on the 1841 Census. I would like to know what relation to JAMES & ANN WOODHEAD is the 8 month old baby JOHN LOWDEN who is living with them. JOHN LOWDEN was born in Derbyshire in 1840 to HENRY LOWDEN and SARAH WINTERBOTTOM. SARAH WINTERBOTTOM died in Dec Qtr 1840 and HENRY LOWDEN married my GG Grandmother SARAH ANN GREAVES. There is a WINTERBOTTOM family living next door to the WOODHEAD's. JOHN (HENRY) LOWDEN died in 1842 aged 1 at Duncan Street Ashton-under-Lyne. The informant was WILLIAM HIBBERT and living next door in 1841 were RICHARD & MARY GREAVES who I think were my SARAH ANN GREAVES'S parents. Trying to determine how all these surnames are connected. He has traced ancestors back to 1828 for Alice but is struggling to find anything for Fred. Does anyone know who the parents were of Fred and if he had any brothers and sisters?
Grace Waterhouse married William Hadfield in Glossop on 1825. Grace was chistened in Hayfield in 1804 to parents John Waterhouse and Grace. Can anybody tell me more about the family of this John and Grace Waterhouse. Other children? ancestors?

Can anybody tell me anything about Betty Cooper who married Radcliffe Hadfield in Hayfield in 1852? Who were her parents and when was she born. Betty and Radcliffe had a son named James who was born in Hayfield in December 1852. What happened to James? I think that he and Betty must have died some time before Radcliffe remarried in 1859 to Maria Chatterton.

My family come from a Siddall family from Hayfield to Padfield Glossop. My Grandfather was Charles Siddal son of Betty Siddal although illegitimate. She married James Bennett and they kept the Prince of Wales Inn and later the Peels Arms. Is there anyone out there who knows anything at all about my Grandad Charles or his family I would love to hear from you.

I am reseraching my Ancestors who in the main come from Hayfield, Little Hayfield, Glossop and Chapel En Le Frith. Some of the family later in the late 1800s early 1900s moved to Eccles and Patricroft Lancashire. My Tree starts with Edward Hadfield born in 1719 Who Married a Sarah Kenworthy. They had one child as far as I know John Hadfield Born 1746 who married a Sarah Hill. I have over 300 records of Related Hadfields in and around the above mentioned areas.I know it is a common name in the area but any help would be appreciated Regards John

I am looking for relatives of John Thomas Hibbert born circa 1855 in Hayfield, Derbyshire. He married Esther Sandiford and they had 3 or 4 children one of which was my grandmother Elizabeth Ann know as Bessie. John Thomas Hibbert was a master baker and had a shop on Buxton Road Disley and Elizabeth Ann was his assistant, they baked pies and cakes. I think my grandmother had a brother called Frank.
