Jacob Pearce was my Grandfather and was colliery manager at Boythorpe Colliery and lived at White Bank House, Hasland, Derbyshire. Cannot find that this address still exists and would really like to see any old photographs that might show him. He originally came from Liskeard where he worked in the copper mines until there demise. Thanks for any info. Richard

My GG Grandmother Hannah Cooper gave birth to my Great Grandfather William on the 4 June 1846 at the Union Workhouse in Chesterfield, he was born illegitemate.Censuses after show him as being born in Hasland so perhaps that is where Hannah was originally from.I believe but I have no firm proof that her fathers name may have been William also.I would be grateful of any information as I have hit a brick wall.Hannah Cooper
