Previous entry re Hannah Bargh as child of Samuel has proved to be wrong- would appear to be daughter of Joseph and Mary (nee Cooper). Cannot find any siblings. Joseph not on census by time Hannah was 20 just mother. Obviously another branch of family. Any connections to anyone else?

in 1883 james fowler left dronfield with his bride to be eliza taylor(married in 1884). They set up home in Workington and james(jas) worked in the steel works as did his son after him and his grandson(my dad) any info about them prior to 1883 would help.I visited dronfield 10/07/07 but a brief and fruitless visit, nice place thou, after 130 years a fowler was back home

Edward's father, also Edward, was a local business man and his brother Samuel inherited the family fortunes.

I am seeking links in Dronfield area for the family of Samuel and Ann Bargh b.1791.They had sons,Robert,Samuel Joseph and William,and their daughter Hannah b1826 who married James Coldwell Turner, a coal merchant in later years. Their older daughters were born in Dronfield.. Lucy,1846 Mary Bargh,1847, Clementine 1850, and Hannah,1852.Hannah Bargh died young and James remarried , Eliza about 1858. Fire service about 1900
I have a photo of my gg grandfather William Monk (1841 -1915) with fire service colleagues in uniform about 1909 I was told he was the driver for Dronfield fire service I don't know if volunteer or paid job. In 1909 he was still the driver and was 70 years old. Does anyone have similar photo or info to share.
