I am looking for any information about the ancestors of Thomas Armstrong who lived in Wetheral at the time of his marriage to Jane Bowman at Irthington in 1784. I don't know where he was baptised, and need help to find his parents names. He and Jane had a son named Thomas (born in Newby in 1785), who went on to marry Ann Thompson in 1810 at Irthington. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.

My ancestors seemed to favour Wetheral Parish Church for their marriages. William Copeland married Elizabeth Pugmire there in 1829 and he later married his second wife Mary Johnston there in 1854. His eldest daughter, Jane Copeland, married William Graham there also in 1854. Any descendants out there? Also where was Meadow Cottages Wetheral??
