red mail Robinson
1881 Census for Alston shows Hannah (nee Robinson) living with her husband William Featherstone. Next door is William's father, Thomas with his wife Mary, children Jane and Annie and adopted daughter Elizabeth Robinson. I think Hannah and Elizabeth are sisters. What is Elizabeth's story? Why was she adopted by her sisters in-laws? Did she marry? Any information to solve the mystery of Elizabeth more than gratefully received.
