red mail MITCHELL
Elizabeth Mitchell born c1827 married 1854 in Par to Matthew Henry East, mine agent of Calstock. They came to South Australia in 1862 with their four sons. Elizabeth’s parents were William and Elizabeth Mitchell, and other children were William 1820, Matthew 1825, Joseph 1829, Catharine 1830, Mary 1832, Thomas 1834, Caroline 1836, Eliza Jane 1838, Ann Maria 1840, Hester Ann 1841 and John 1844. St Blazey is given in census records as the birthplace of children born after 1830. Joseph married Caroline and moved to Tavistock, Mary married Richard Oliver, Thomas married Mary (emigrated?), Caroline married Henry Snell (emigrated?), and Hester married Philip Crews (to Canada in 1873). Is anyone else researching this family?

red mail Key Family - St Blazey/Biscovay
My Key family ancestors Joseph and Sally Key (nee Brokenshire) lived in the St Blazey area in the late 1820's. Joseph was a blacksmith. Three of their children John, Caroline and James Brokensha were born or baptised there between 1825 and 1831. Joseph's father, Nicholas died there in 1828. He was said to be a resident of Biscovay. The family later moved to St Just in Penwith in the 1830s where they stayed until the 1880's when my part of the family moved to Brotton, N.Yorks. I am happy to share more information with anyone who is interested.
