red mail William Dawe, village blacksmith
My gg grandfather was William Daw(e), born about 1814, who was a blacksmith in Boscastle, although he lived at Forrabury. One of his children was my g grandfather, Samuel Hambly Daw, born about 1860, who also trained as a blacksmith but worked in Devonport Dockyard as Chief armourer. I am interested in any information about either of these people or their family, or anything about the blacksmith's shop.

VANSTONE in BOSCASTLE
Can anyone tell me where I might find death records for the Boscastle area? I have a photocopy of the birth certificate of my great (great?) aunt, Edith Mary Vanstone, b. March 7, 1893. Someone has written in the corner "Died Wednesday, February 28, 1912 (1/4 to 7 P.M.) at Boscastle. Rest in Peace through Christ Jesus our Savior, Amen." By 1912, she would be 19 years old. I MAY have found a marriage (is age 15 young for that era to marry or fairly common?) in 1908. Any ideas?? Thank you
