Jeremiah and Hannah COLLINS
Hi, trying to trace my Irish roots without a lot of success! Jeremiah and Hannah COLLINS emigrated to Wales (Merthyr Tydfil - Aberdare) probably during the 1840's to 1850's. Jeremiah was born around 1821 and Hannah around 1828 - 1831. I'm pretty sure they came from County Cork but no idea what area? In the 1861 census it shows a Dennis Triskle? was staying with them - a visitor from Ireland. Any help would be great!

No parent name is listed, however 1900 Census indicates both parents were born in Ireland. The 1910 US Census shows him with a different birth year of 1872. He is listed as John J. Mahoney but it also shows him to be using the alternate name of "Iman". I don't know if he was using it as a surname or first name. It could have been a nickname for him. red mail Connell family - County Cork
I am researching the Connell family of County Cork, Ireland. In 1835 John Connell married Mary Minton. John Connell was an artist who painted portraits, mostly miniatures. red mail Looking for Donovan Family Roots
I am looking for information about my great grandmother ne Marie C Donovan. She was born in 1898 or 99 in County Cork. Her parents were Patrick and Catherine Donovan and they had 3 other children, Alice and twins Ray and Roy. I think they immigrated to the states between 1900 and 1920, eventually settling in Perry Iowa, where the entire family except Roy is buried. Patrick's death is not marked, and Catherine died on 11/19/1942. Alice was single until her death in 1980, and Marie was married to Charles Jones and passed away in 1976. Her only child, Anna Mae, preceded her in death in the 1950's. I don't think either of my great, great uncles married or had any children, so it looks like my siblings and I may be the only surviving descendents. If anyone has information, I would be so very happy to hear from you. Regards, Betsy
