The great grandfather of my wife was Thomas Mc Mahon who was born about 1858 in County Clare .On the 23rd April 1883 Thomas married Bridget O' Donohue in Bearfield. Bridget was born in 1857 the daughter of Thomas O Donohue and Catherine O Donohue (nee Kinnane). A few weeks later the newly married couple sailed to Australia on the Nowshera and settled in Southport in Qld.Any further information re the Mc Mahon and O Donohue families woud be greatly appreciated

Michael McNamara emigrated to Australia about 1840 with wife Mary Keily and dau Elizabeth Mary Anne (possibly more children). He was born about 1810 in the Ennis/Carahan area. Mary died before 1847, when he remarried in Sydney. He was a publican in Sydney for many years, and died in 1880. Trying to establish if he is a brother or close relative of Anne Roche (nee McNamara, my g.g.grandmother), as there is a lot of evidence for this, but no proof. These are very common names! Any help appreciated.

I am looking for any information on the White family John married Kate Healy in Ennis in 1890. After the marriage they had Michael in1893,Annie in 1897 and Janie 1900. I believe that Annie moved to England as she was there during WW1. The 1911 census shows no evidence of the family though John died in Ennis in 1924 and Kate in 1942. As Janie registered the death I know she did not marry but did have care of a Michael Fawley at some stage. (From local gossip) Can anyone help?

hello, I am looking for information about my Irish relatives. My Great Grandparents were: Thomas Coote/Honora Moroney and Thomas Lundy and Mary Carty. My Grandparents were Stephen Coote and Margaret Lundy. My grandparents immigrated to the US seperately and Married in Boston. They returned to Ireland at some point. My mom Margaret Mary Coote returned to the US at age 17. The rest of the family returned/immigrated in 1958. I know that there are many relative still living in the ennis area. I am looking for any information on the family O'Hennessy living in Ennis Co.Clare around 1800. Peter Paul Hare O'Hennessy left Ennis to join the army and was mentioned for a commission on the field at Waterloo (source obituary). Maybe his mothers family were Hare ?. I have a letter dated 1821 written from Ennis (no other address details). A rates list in 1828 places a family of O'Hennessy in Arthurs Row, Island, Ennis. Are these Related ?

I'm trying to trace my great grandfather's family . He was born in Ennis in 1879. His father was Robert Loughan, a regular soldier and his mother was Maria Cullinan (they married in 1878).
