JOHN HOSKER WILKINSON and unknown wife were residing in Tarporley in 1837. I have been unable to find any further details of him nor his wife though I suspect she may have been called HOSKER as the family began to use this as a middle name. He was listed as an Engineer at his son's marriage in 1837 (another John who married a Diana Marshall) and his birth was possibly about 1795. Thanks for looking and any help gratefully received.

married Edna May JOHNSON 1929 in Grantham Lincolnshire. Died Vale Royal in 1977. Edna went onto marry a Robert SOUTHERN from Grantham Lincs. in 1937. No mention of a divorce or re-marrriage for John Henry DONE. Family believe John was a chauffeur who used to bring a lady visitor to Grantham where he met Edna.

My family were taxidermists in Shrewsbury (Henry Owen Shaw). His obituary says he was born in Tarporley and his father was John Shaw (born in the 1780s. Has anyone else come across or got an interest in the family? They may have been taxidermists around that time.

Other children were John (died young) Mary Ann (1833 Tarporley) Sarah Emma (1835 Northwich). Sarah died (probably in childbirth) in 1855 and Samuel married Louisa Andrews in 1836, daughter Louisa (1840 Northwich). Harriet Humphreys married John Matthew Smith (Brewood Staffordshire). Siddorn family of Tarporley
Would appreciate any information about the Siddorn family from Bunbury. In 1861 Joseph Siddorn b.1841 (parents Samuel Siddorn & Ellen Griffiths)married Ann Clarke b.1838 (parents Thomas Clarke & Sarah Davenport). They had at least 9 children Agnes, Mary, Sarah Jane, George, Annie, Ellen, Elizabeth, Harriet and Joe (my grandfather). Around 1871 the family appear to have moved from Bunbury to Tarporley and at some point lived in Birch Heath Road.

My Great Grandfather Vincent Vernon lived at the Willingtons Farm and is listed in the 1901 census with his father John Vernon and mother Ellen nee Moss. Past generations also married into the Shaw family of Tarporley. Vincent Vernon left Tarporley to set up a grocers shop in Manchester and married Frances Anderson.
