Information about Mobberley
I live in Mobberley and have copies of every census page, transcribed into Excel so can find information much more quickly and link it within the village. I also have transcribed most of the Mobberley Church Birth Marriage and Death records as far back as I can interpret them (but generally to about 1666), again into Excel so they are searchable by dates, parental names etc.

red mail Bradbury and Blackshaw, Mobberley, 17th cent.
Looking for info about Roger Bradbury, b. ca 1633 possibly Mobberley Parish, Cheshire. Roger Bradbury and family (wife, 3 sons, 2 daughters) were servants of Randulph Blackshaw of Hallingee, Mobberley Parish, Cheshire. Blackshaw was a Quaker, recruited by Wm Penn to settle in Pennsylvania. The Blackshaws and Bradburys sailed from Liverpool in the ship Submission, arriving in present day Maryland in 1682. Blackshaw sold Mrs Bradbury and the three sons there while Roger Bradbury and two daughters traveled overland to Pennsylvania, There is some evidence that by about the 1690s Mrs Bradbury had remarried and that Roger's son (also Roger) was living on the Eastern Shore of Chesapeake Bay. The trail then goes cold. Any help greatly appreciated.
