Researching parents of James Schorah who married Hannah, Surname unknown, in 1801 probably in Marple Wesleyan Church, Cheshire. They had three children:- Hannah b.10 Sep 1802, Thomas b.3 Mar 1805 and Robert b.23 Mar 1810 all christened on the same day 20 Jun 1810 at Wesleyan Church Marple. Robert married Sarah Newton abt 1834 who went on to have five children one of which William b.10 Nov 1837 c.9 Sep 1838 St Michael's, Ashton Under Lyne is my descendancy. But any others will be researched as well.

Regarding the 1841 census. I have been unable to find my ancestor, Harriet Firfield born c1827 in Marple. Her father was William Firfield, a scutcher(!?) Would be grateful for any help. She married in Rawtenstall in 1845. Her surname is spellt differently on every document that I have purchased!

James Sykes(a Boatman,born c.1797 in Romiley) and wife Ann(b.Hyde)were at Marple in 1841, with children William, James, Emma,Peter & George.In 1851 they were at Werneth (Hyde) with son George, and James was now a Head Loom Weaver. In 1861 James had a new wife Amy (nee Lee). James died in 1869 and is buried at Gee Cross.I should like to hear from any descendants of this family.
