Fox of Statham Lodge, Lymm

Is there anyone who knows the local history of Lymm who can tell me more? I think the Fox family were tea merchants in Manchester and owned quite a lot of land in Cheshire any help would be so very much appreciated.

In 1900 Arthur Edward Leigh arrived from nowhere and into the history of my family. He married Minnie Gatley of Northwich in 1903 and Minnie died 6 years later. Arthur then remarried Frances Jane Sands of Northwich and they had 2 sons before Arthur died in 1922 from influenza. There is no knowledge of his background except that my father, who was Arthurs younger son , was told' He had family down south' Thanks to internet info. and census research we now suspect he may have been the younger son of George Henry and Jane Leigh of Lymm.
