My Haylock & Wallis ancestors came from Whittlesford & I am also decended from Ward's & Wisbey's from Duxford. I saw a review of "The Anatomy of a Victorian Village: Whittlesford 1800-1900" & was wondering if anyone knows how I can purchase this book? I am also keen to purchase Parish records for Whittlesford & Duxford on computer disc. I found email addresses for the Whittlesford society on a website but the email addresses dont seem to be current & my emails keep bounching back. I am also keen to join the Whittlesford society. Any information you can give me would be welcome. If anyone can help at all would be most gratefull

red mail Susan Cooper
Does anyone have any information on the reputed witch Susan Cooper who was buried in Whittlesford in 1878? I have established (I believe) that she was the "Cambridgeshire Witch" described by Hermione L. F. Jennings (also of Whittlesford!) in the journal Folk-Lore in 1905 (the article is online, Jennings calls her "Mrs Smith"). Could she be the Susan Cooper listed as a 45 yo schoolmistress in nearby Little Shelford in the 1841 census?
