In the 1840 census, Mary Ground, 15, the daughter of Rebecca's sister Mary and Thomas Ground, is living with the Russells. By the 1850 census, Rebecca is dead and Mary and William are married. There are three boys--Thomas, George and Henry "Russell-Ground" who may be illegitimate children of William and Mary. Rebecca and William's 3 sons emigrated to America in late 1850s. Seeking information about James Gifford and any insight into the Russell-Ground business.
