Mary Baden Page was my mother, the daughter of Harry Page and Ethel M. Hounslow. Ethel left her six children when they were very young. I believe she went to the States many years later. Does anyone have information on her? My mother moved to London to train as a nanny but I would like to know where that training took place.

I am interested in the Pollard family from Wing. MARY ANN POLLARD (b 1835 Wing) is the daughter of GEORGE POLLARD (1797 WIng-1847 Wing) and ALICE POLLARD (b 1812 Wing), her maiden name, who married in Wing in 1832. In 1840, George and Mary Ann were living in Chapel Lane, Wing. In 1860, Mary Ann married RICHARD LEE in Wing. She is the daughter of BRIGHTWELL HOLYMAN (d 1846 in Wing) and MARY ANN POLLARD (b 1768 Wing). Also chasing the GIBBARD family as SARAH (b 1768 Wing) married JORAM POLLARD (b 1768 Wing).

David Page married Alice Burrows and lived in nearby Ascott. They had four children - Polly, Nellie, Louie and Frank (who died in WW1). Alice Burrows' sister, Mary Ann Burrows (1851 - 1927), married William Jennings (1847 - 1933) on 9 August 1868 and lived in nearby Burcott. One of their sons, Arthur (App) Jennings (1884 - 1964), married Amy Page (1888 - 1965) in 1909 and lived in Harlesden, London. They had three children - Sybil, Gladys and Olive. Amy's parents were Henry Page (1857 - 1920) and Mary Mead. Amy's siblings were Harry, Emily, Alfred, Frederick, Ada and Alice. Frederick (Fred) Page married twice; his second wife was Annie and they had a son Ted Page, who died about 1986. Any additional information is requested. Thanks. Barry.

Joseph Brand 12 Jun 1847 to 12 Mar 1926 married Ann Rogers 25 Dec 1868, Jane Rogers 10 Mar 1873 and Sarah Ann Culverhouse 15 Aug 1881 at Wing. Was a boot maker and raised a large family, including my grandmother, Maud who later migrated to Australia and married a New Zealander, Gabriel Cooper. Would love to hear from anyone with roots in Wing as I will be visiting that area in the next few weeks.
