Elizabeth christened 24.05.1812 - marriage particulars unknown William & Hannah Hill (nee Herbert) and their eight sons arrived in the Colony of Sydney NSW abt 1853,nominated by Hannah's Uncle Wm Simons, a convict sent with his brother, Richard Simons on the Surrey arriving abt 1821. Wm Simons had contributed well to the business district of Goulburn NSW where the Hill family settled and took up farming along the Middle Arm Road, Goulburn. Their youngest son, Joseph Hill married Mary Ann Emerton the eldest child of Mary & Alfred (I think this is correct) Emerton who also lived in Goulburn. The Emerton lived in the Bedfordshire. Joseph & Mary Ann Hill bore 14 children the youngest my mother, Hilda Mary Hill b.1903. In 1920 Hilda married Alfred Hammond formerly of Bermondsey near London, and four children were born to the marriage, the youngest, myself born in 1936. Interested in the surnames of Spencer, Warren, Tompkins, Old, Hall, Craddock, Knightly, Wright, Herbert, Hull, Kilworth and Simons.
